After the strap of my Humangear Capcap+ (https://www.humangear.com/shop/p/capcap) broke, I created this replacement part. While the cap itself greatly enhances the comfort of drinking from a Nalgene bottle, the strap's durability left something to be desired, lasting less than a year. Fortunately, it's replaceable.
The provided replacement can be 3D printed using FLEX material (60% infill, no need for support structures). I've modified the original design, eliminating the cap-locking feature and reverting to a simpler design reminiscent of older Humangear cap models. These changes were made for several reasons:
- I didn't use the cap-locking feature.
- Improved printability with a simpler design.
- Reduced material usage.
Additionally, I've reinforced the strap's edges, with the hope that it will outlast the original.
