A mostly accurate, functional replica of the loser call horn from Spongebob. I don't know whether to be proud or disappointed with myself for actually finishing this thing.
Designed in Onshape: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/6e935e892ba332bc5269b52a/w/72d6bb9cb5c9e26ca31148a1/e/5e4a5c052545e986018067b1?renderMode=0&uiState=652af2d278529873df827817
Code here: https://github.com/tylercamp/spongebob-horn
Printing parts list:
- 100g+ white filament for mouthpiece (optimal color #EAEAEA) - I just used generic white
- 500g+ red filament for everything else that's visible (optimal color #AE1922) - I used this
- Super-lube for the threads (optional)
- 1x “Mouthpiece”
- 1x "Body"
- If not adding electronics, use “Body (no power button)”
- 1x “Cap” and 1x “Speaker Platform”, super glue them together
- OR 1x “Cap+Speaker Platform”, but the thin plastic holding the speaker in tends to print poorly and gets ripped off along with the supports
- If not adding electronics, use “Cap + Speaker Platform (no speaker)”
- If using electronics:
- 1x "Speaker Retainer"
- 1x “Electronics Platform”
- 2x “Electronics Platform Retainer”
Other parts list if adding electronics:
- 1x 40mm speaker
- 1x micro SD card (128 MB+)
- 1x BMP280 pressure sensor
- 1x Micro SD card reader
- 2x solderable breadboard (just about all of these on amazon have the same dimensions)
- 1x 12mm momentary push button switch (power button)
- 1x MAX98357 speaker driver
- 1x ESP32 FireBeetle (doesn't need to be ESP32, doesn't need to be DFRobot FireBeetle, but it's what I had on hand)
- Hot glue to seal the mouthpiece (there should be no air movement except for the pinhole that's already added to the model)
- 3x AAA single-battery holder
- 3x AAA battery
- 4x 6mm+ M3 screws (electronics)
- 4x 6mm M3 screws (2x for each electronics platform retainer)
- 3x 4mm M3 screws (AAA battery holders)
- 2x 4mm M3 screws (speaker retainer)
- 1x JST XH 2-pin connector (for speaker pass-through)
For parts that are no longer available, modify the part dimensions in the “Ref” folder to match what you have personally. The rest of the design will update automatically.

Could be made smaller but I had trouble neatly fitting the electronics. (Go to the Onshape link above and modify "Vars/Inputs/FullHornLength”, everything else will be scaled appropriately.) The current size (220mm length, excluding mouthpiece) is about the correct scale for a “real-life spongebob".
Designed to print on 0.6mm nozzle. Can change “Vars/Inputs/Printer Settings/PrintLineWidthMM” to your nozzle size, but I've only tested 0.6mm. Can use any layer height, though I've found 0.4mm is the max for the threads to print consistently.
The GitHub link at the beginning has info on how to use it if electronics are added.
