I wanted something a little more secure to hold my Walksnail VRX onto a tripod.
The base has a hole for a ¼-20 threaded insert and an M3 insert for the clip. I'll admit I may have left the holes for the threaded inserts a bit small. The M3 insert is okay, but I made a bit of mess installing the ¼-20 insert. For now I'll probably just Velcro my SiK radio to the top of the base, but maybe there will be another version in the future with a better mount for the SiK radio.
My VRX has a small bit of velcro on the back for stability when it's on my goggles. The clip isn't tight across the back and I think this bit of velcro makes it all more snug. The clip has three holes so you can decide how high you want the VRX to sit against the base.
