A badge/magnet/ornament/whatever featuring everyone's favorite Vectrex home video game superstar "Spike", expressing his emotions.

See https://youtu.be/9wkEL3RcW8s?t=793 for context.

This was basically a workflow test to see how easy some line art could be done and how well it'd come out.

It was mainly inspired by seeing how nice 'omiedude's The Last Starfighter magnet project ( https://www.printables.com/model/225077-the-last-starfighter-magnet-8x3mm-magnet ) looks.

Post-Printing =============

I used a cheapo acrylic paint marker on the raised lines to get the vector monitor look I was going for. I think it turned out pretty decent!

This model would probably be -perfect- for pausing and swapping out filament colors between the base layers and the actual line/detail layers.

How I Designed This

(There has to be 82374589273498572345 easier ways)

For this first experiment, I basically edited a photo of the actual game screen in RLVision's ArtGem (RIP) and got it down to a nice smoothed black and white .PNG with alpha transparency around the border of the wanted 'base' layers.

Used "Trace Bitmap" in Inkscape a couple times and did a lot of path point deleting in order to end up with 2 .SVGs: One of the 'base', and one of the 'lines'.

Imported those .SVGs into Metasequoia 4 and Wings3D in order to extrude and line everything up, then just exported as .STL
