Mamiya M645 Film Insert Storage Case

This is a storage box for the roll film insert used in the Mamiya M645 medium format camera. The film insert holds a roll of 120 size photographic film and a takeup spool. It can be pre-loaded with film and then used to quickly change film in the camera during a photo shoot.

I wanted a sturdy box to protect the film insert in my camera bag. @jonasgddfr's box looked like it had the features I wanted: a hinged lid and lips that overlapped the lid's seam to help keep out light. (There are enough pieces and parts to juggle when doing photography. A captive lid is one less thing to drop or lose.)

I resized the box and lid in FreeCAD to fit the film insert.

Printed in ABS and PETG (black, naturally) with 0.2mm layers. The hinge uses two M2x8 screws, as in v2 of the original design.

The inner lips of the box cause the lid to fit tightly. They require a little sanding to make the box easy to open. The sliding hinge helps keep the lid in place when the box is closed, so don't worry about sanding off too much.
