This is designed for use with the Dremel 3000 Workstation. I required a solution to illuminate the work surface when drilling PCBs, as dealing with shadows can be quite tedious while trying to align holes. To address this issue, I devised a straightforward light ring consisting of 6 LEDs, powered by a 12V power supply.
INSTRUCTIONS:
- Solder the LEDs together using the 'holder ring.stl' as a guide. I utilized 6 flat-cap LEDs, but you can employ any type of 5 mm LED. Remember to include the necessary limiting resistors.
- Place the assembled LED ring into the 'holder outer.stl' and push it firmly into place.
- After soldering the power cord, enclose everything using the 'holder cap.stl.'
- A simple LED connection diagram is provided for your convenience.
CAUTION: Do not permanently affix the light ring to the workstation. The light ring must remain movable, as it fits snugly around the locknut of the workstation (the large black nut).
