Postcard Writing Guides (A6)

These three models are lay-flat guides that can be put on top of an A6 print to guide you on writing a note and address on the back, as if it was a postcard.

When ordering prints for postcards from most online printing shops, it's usually cheaper to not have them print the postcard stencil on the back — plus it's more flexible as they can then be used without having to mail them out. But that makes it harder to leave space for stamp and address.

These guides provide:

1. a guide that blocks out the right half of the card, allowing you to write text on the left;
2. a guide that blocks out the left half of the card, and the top of the right half (where the stamp should go), with pointers to where to write the address;
3. a stencil to draw the halfway mark, stamp position, and address lines (to be used with a fine liner or similar pen.)

Each of these guides come with a corner to align the card, so that it can be easily dropped on the back of it and written.

Assumptions

These guides follow the “Western” design of postcards commonly found in Europe, particularly for A6-sized postcards (which are the mots commonly ordered online.)

The stamp space reserved is meant to fit a British 2nd Class and similar stamps, and should fit almost all European postcard stamps.

While you can probably reuse them somehow for other sizes, styles, and different size of stamps, there's no guarantee of it, please check what cards you want to use this on first.
