These feet are designed to mount a self-adhesive, dampening foot to the printer.
I've gone with some 1.5" Hemispherical Sorbothane feet from Isolate-it, but you can use anything you'd like. Remove the existing feet, leaving the extrusion nut in place, then attach these new feet using the same hardware. You might have to fiddle with the cover/foot, but once everything is aligned, it goes together quickly.
Stick your feet to the bottom of the pads, and you should experience better vibration isolation than stock.
Tips
- Slice the files for your own needs for the best results.
- Adding a small washer with the screw isn't a bad idea.
- I mixed my Sorbothane feet. So I have 30 durometer up front and 50 durometer in the back. I only did this because I had both durometers on hand.
