TOPOGRAPHIC ZEN GARDEN

This model represents a reinterpretation of a classic Zen sand garden. As a 3D printing enthusiast, I am captivated by the distinct lines that this manufacturing method leaves on the models.

In this design, we have replaced the lines in the sand with tool lines and have experimented with layer stacking to create volume, thus creating a hypnotic appeal that will be appreciated by those who know how to value it.

To achieve this, we have used a topographic map that gathers the ideal features for this concept.

This garden can serve as a practical container to keep small items that are often scattered on your desk or to store house keys, and more. I encourage you to print this model and provide your feedback. Don't let the design limit your creativity; feel free to customize it, for example, by adding a hole to hold incense sticks or other enhancements you can think of, and don't forget to share your version with the community.

Printing Tips

This model is designed to be printed with a 1.2mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.6mm. However, since I currently don't have access to a nozzle of these specifications, I have printed it using a 0.4mm nozzle and a layer height of 0.3mm without any issues.

Furthermore, this model can be freely scaled as a whole, as recommended in the attached file at 150%, or you can even adjust it only on the Z-axis to increase the model's depth without distorting the proportions of the box.

You are free to print it in the color of your choice, but I encourage you to consider increasing the thickness of the print lines to better appreciate the details of this model.
