I probably could fillet the edges and reduce some of the interference of the connections, but so far it has been fun as-is and something my kids have enjoyed experimenting with (creating boxes, roads and ramps for toy cars, etc).
I printed with Inland PLA but maybe PETG would allow better ‘snaps’.
