This is a stronger, more functional and more accurate 3d-printable version of the LTT stubby screwdriver.

You need these parts for the multi color version:

  • 1x M3x40 screw
  • 3x M3x12 screw
  • 2x M3x8 screw
  • 1x M3x6 screw
  • 1x shaft print
  • 2x ratchet print
  • 1x spring of your choosing print
  • 1x switch print
  • 1x handle print
  • 1x top print
  • 1x end cap print
  • 1x magnet round 20x2mm
  • 1x magnet round 6x3mm (optional but recommended)

This is the list of parts for a single color screwdriver

  • 1x M3x40 screw
  • 3x M3x12 screw
  • 1x shaft print
  • 2x ratchet print
  • 1x spring of your choosing print
  • 1x switch print
  • 1x handle monochrome print
  • 1x end cap print
  • 1x magnet round 20x2mm
  • 1x magnet round 6x3mm (optional but recommended)

The exact magnet you use can be different, you just need to adjust that in the step files.

The strength of the springs are dependent on which material you printed them in, I recommend printing a bunch and trying out to find the best strength.

I have added supports (light blue) to the reinforced direction selectors, these have to be cut before assembly:

If you use PrusaSlicer, make sure the seams are not placed on the edges of the ratchet model, as this slightly messes with the tolerances of the ratchet.

To install the magnet in the bitholder, you need to pause the print and insert the magnet at the correct layer. Make sure to glue the magnet down, since magnets and 3d-printers are both magnetic and a strong magnet might remove itself if you don't glue it down.

This was printed with a Prusa MK3S+ in PETG Prusament, with a different setup your tolerances might vary, you can adjust them all in the respective step files.

These are the magnets I used:
