Designed to be adapted to your own amounts and types of switches and buttons, Fusion 360 file “buttonbox_angled v16” is attached.

Printable in any material, I used PLA for the boxes and panels and PETG for the mount/truss. Of course you can only print single boxes or pieces to suit your needs. The panels are screwed into the boxes with little self threading screws for plastic, you often find them in electronic devices. The boxes are bolted to the "mount" frame with M5 bolts and nuts. The “mount” just sits on the “sideTruss” with a little press fit, the whole contraption is heavy enough to not slip out. Finally, the “sideTruss”es are riveted to PETG angles ("generic_angle") which are screwed on a wooden board that is as thin as possible, mine is 4mm thick. There is “right_angle” and “left_angle” because the truss gets too shallow at the end and the “generic_angle” would stick over the top. Be careful not to split or crack the angles when riveting.

A guide I used on how to wire a button box with an arduino:

Soldering this can be quite a task. One should pay much attention to not create any short circuits, isolate any open contacts and watch out for brittle soldering jobs.

Have fun making!
