This savings bank mimics the iconic British, 1879s A-type letter box. It is a fairly easy and quick print and ideal as a gift box for money.
The slot is- of course- large enough to even accept these huge two pound coins.

Printing Instructions
Although this is a very easy and quick print, here are a few recommendations for an outstanding result:
The base is simply printed upright in black. I recommend increasing the number of perimeters to obtain a solid base.

The container itself should be printed upside down. Support is just required for the coin slot- the embossed imprints print fine without supports. Use organic support.
To maintain a clear image of the embossed text on the surface, I recommend printing with 0.2 mm layer hight and a nozzle not larger than 0.4 mm.
The lid is best printed upright- no supports required. For best quality of this slightly spherical top surface, you should use adaptive layer height and set “Top fill patterns” to “Concentric”.
Note: if you follow these recommendations for the container and the lid part you have to print the parts separately, because organic infill cannot be used together with adaptive layer height in Prusa Slicer.
Assembly: The container is simply pressed into the base part. You will have to turn the parts in place as the wall of the base part is intentionally slightly thicker at the front to match the shape of the container part. Optionally use glue for a lasting connection.
A sign with your own message can be glued into the embossed frame. Attached you can find a suggestion reading “COINS ACCEPTED, BANKNOTES PREFERRED” as PDF. Simply print this page on a regular printer and cut out the 13 x 20 mm area.
The lid features a thread, so the money box can easily be opened and closed with a quarter turn.
