SodaStream Bottle Marker

Small marker that fits the neck of SodaStream bottles. Fits both the glass (Duo) and the plastic 1 l bottles. Will probably fit the small plastic bottles, but not the glass carafe (please leave a comment if it does! 🙂)

The marker uses 2x2 mm magnets like these (not an affiliate link).

Assembly instructions

The magnets should friction-fit in the two halves of the marker. In case they don't, add a very small amount of super glue.

Since the magnets a tiny, the best way I found to install them is to use a piece of PTFE tubing and an 1.5 mm Allen key. Slide the tubing over the Allen key and stick the magnet to its end:

Carefully slide the PTFE tubing over the magnet, place one of the ends of the marker next to the tube and slowly push the magnet about half way in:

Repeat with the other ends of the marker and make sure that the two halves will stick together before pushing the magnets all the way in.

Piece of 1.75 mm filament could be used instead of the Allen key, but the key (typically) being made from ferromagnetic metal, helps a lot with handling the magnet.

When not in use, the two halves can be stored on the outside of the refrigerator. 🙂

Note: When installed, the marker makes holding the bottle under the cap a little bit trickier, so please pay attention when carrying bottles with the marker installed!

The infill doesn’t have to be Gyroid – any infill except Lightning will work.
