My flat mate wanted little display stands for his DVD collection to show off his favourite films. I really liked D2P-3Ds design as the angle of the DVD was just perfect with his print, however I wanted to make it slightly bigger and also use less plastic so that I could use up some final dregs of spools so I added some honeycombing. I also potentially wanted to put some books on the stand which are a bit heavier so added a space for putting a nut in as weight.
According to slicer, original design scaled to my desired size uses 22.9g filament whereas honeycombed uses 17.13g
Printed with 4 walls and 15% gyroid infill with Jayo recycled PLA and seems to work fine.
