Mount for filament sensor with Bowden tube compression fitting. I updated to a BondTech DD and removed the extruder and mount… this left the filament sensor no longer attached. I found the original by Kaytor - but I didn't like the multiple parts or the melt in inserts. So I remixed it, added a little bit of QOL items:
- Revised holes to accept stock filament sensor screws - direct screw in, melt in no longer needed.
- Chamfered the holes to help guide the screw into place.
- Opened up the frame screw mount holes a little to prevent snagging - but still a snug fit.
- Cut out the back holes - so the back is flush
- Joined both parts into one unit.
- Added some fillets to aid in fitting the filament sensor better.
Best to rotate the mount so it sits on the bottom edge where the filament enters the sensor - use slim tree supports. 35% infill/4 perimeters. No bed adhesion required.
