This is a much smoother version of the original design, and the STL file contains both left- and right-hand earrings. The files provided will fit an 8mm ear piercing, though being tapered there is considerable leeway in size.
With the improved resolution, these will scale much better than the previous version and print without support (a brim is advised). An ‘O’-ring can be pushed on the spiral after the earring is inserted into the piercing to make sure it doesn't fall out.
The OpenSCAD code file is provided, and this has been updated so that some deprecated, ancient functions are replaced with modern equivalents.
