Didn't like the drum that came on my hexbug minotaur rc toy so I drew up and printed a new, more effective drum. Larger diameter, more bite, three teeth, and most importantly this one is actually balanced. Took a few variations to get it right but this is my stopping point for now.
Also printed out a larger weapon motor pulley to try and spin up the drum a bit faster, but this is not necessary. You have to take the motor out to be able to swap the pulleys, this can be done without doing any soldering but is a bit tedious so it may be easier to desolder the board from the battery terminal and lift out the motor. I ended up having to do that after I accidentally tore the positive lead to the weapon motor.
Clearance is tight but mine spins up just fine and is definitely an improvement over the drum that came on the bot.
Printed vertically with supports on build plate only for the bottom, the weapon teeth do not require supports if you have adequate cooling.
