Important : This model was only tested on the Wanhao duplicator I3 mini, it should work on any clone with the same fixation. Please, post a comment if it doesn't quite fit or if it needs a modification to work on your printer.
Reasons :
- The original arm has broken and you need a replacement.
- The original arm is too long / too short for your spools.
What do I need :
- The screw STL.
- Any of the holder arm with the length you desire (only 8cm was tested).
Slicing :
- Use a high resolution for the thread (it's as thin as the original), or use the variable print height function of your slicer (I used 0.2 mm).
- I've printed it with the screw laying on its flat side and the arm with the thread down.
- Use supports if you're printing it vertically (make sure to use support blockers to protect the thread), organic supports work well, but it will disable variable layer height on Prusa Slicer.
Need a different length ?
Open the included .FCStd in FreeCAD and, with the PartDesign workbench, modify the function Pad003 of Body 002 to the desired length.
