This is the winning entry of the TkkrLab maker 3d print contest on July 17, 2021. The goal was to design and 3d print an object which jumps in the air as high as possible; the energy storage element (spring) must be part of the object (i.e. no catapult). This entry can jump approx. 1.2 m in height.
Any layer height is fine. I used Fillamentum PLA (Noble Blue). Other brands of PLA should be fine as long as it is not too brittle. PETG might be better but I did not test that.
Store the model in unlocked state, otherwise the spring loses its springiness over time.
