This is a remix of @Boogie created Heatbed cable cover:
"A slightly simpler version of the heating bed cable cover with the possibility of tightening the screws for the contacts.
For this cover you need a M3x12 screw to mount it."
I just made some adjustmets to use it on older printers from MK2 family.
There are mainly two issues:
MK2 series has different frame and the cable, if not supported will rub against the frame.
-That is why I made it longer.
MK2 series uses 12V instead of 24V version of the bed. While voltage is lower, the bed still uses the same amount of electricity in Watts. Therefore the current (Amps) is just 2x higher. More amps make cables hotter if they are too thin, due to voltage drop.
-That is why I made it from ASA
Ofcourse, hot cables is not something you fix with non-melting heatbed connector cover. Change your cables to 12AWG / 2.5mm² and crimp on some proper ring lugs that are not thin and have large contact area between the wire and the lug itself.
Printing this out of ASA just helps to prevent the cover from melting on terminals and LED, making those unusable in case of some cabling fault. Check your cables temperatures occasionally to make sure that everything is wired correctly.
