Hey there! I made this super cool trophy that screams STEM with three planetary gears and spur gears – it's like robotics magic! See how it rocks in this YT short.
Putting it together is a breeze. Just five parts that snugly click into place – no engineering degree required. I used a slick clearance of 0.05mm, and voila, it came out of my printer fitting like a glove. If it's a tad loose, a dab of glue works wonders. And if it's too tight, a bit of sanding will do the trick. Hit me up if you run into any snags.
Here's the lowdown on assembly:
- Slap the base onto the long end of the frame.
- Stick the littlest gear onto the bottom hex knob.
- Pop the medium gear onto the middle hex knob.
- Top it off by attaching the biggest gear to the highest hex knob.
