Intro
This is a simple locking add-on for RepRack builds using the single wall cleats. Add it on once the hanger is installed to keep the hanger locked into the cleat. Easy to install/remove and needs no additional hardware.
The EMT conduit tubing I got for my RepRack build was pretty bendy and it caused some of the hangers to pop out of their cleats during installation. I'm sure once I put spools on it it'd be fine, but I wanted it to be more stable so I designed these.
Printing
The models should print just fine without supports in the default orientation. The maximum overhang is at 50 degrees. I printed these in the same Inland PETG+ that I'm using for the rest of the reprack parts and at the same 0.4 mm layer height with a 0.6mm nozzle I've been using – but more out of neglect to change the settings than out of necessity. There shouldn't be much/any pressure on these at rest so feel free to use whatever filament/settings you'd like that'll give you a good result.
If you have a significant amount of elephant's foot you may need to deburr the inside of the female part to get it to fit together.
Installation
Once the hanger is on the wall cleat, insert the square peg into the square hole beneath the wall cleat and the tab on the bottom of the wall hanger. Make sure the tab on the male part is pointing downward. Then slide the female part onto it with its tab pointing away from the wall, then once it's on, swing the tab down to lock it in place.
