I recently picked up a used RockBand Fender Stratocaster (I believe first gen) and wasn't happy with the mushy feeling strum bar. This adapter fits where the magnetic switches are placed and allows you to insert a Cherry MX compatible keyswitch in it's place. This currently only works on the Wired Xbox 360 version of the controller as you have to cut part of the battery compartment out (an unused part in the wired controller).
For wiring, I simply unsoldered the wires (including the resistors) from the magnetic switches and reused the wiring for the keyswitches. Blue switches give a nice tactile click and I haven't noticed any over-bouncing or anything like that.
