"Mom, can I get a Bondtech BMG?" "No, we have BMG at home." Well, this is the BMG at home.

What the heck even is this?

I wanted to put a V6 hotend on my Ender 3 pro, as well as direct drive it. I considered getting the Bondtech BMG or one of its clones, but I didn't feel like shelling out 70+ dollars for an upgrade to a 99 dollar printer, and I also didn't feel like waiting a month for a clone to arrive from Aliexpress. I really liked the way that the BMG had the lip of the heatsink enclosed inside the extruder body itself to secure it, but I couldn't find any extruder model that did this. One fateful day, when I had far too much free time for my own good, I modeled up this monstrosity. The PMBMG(Poor Man's BMG) is an extruder that reuses the idler arm and some of the screws from the stock extruder, and lets you attach a V6 heatsink(or clones) directly into your extruder. This thing probably also works with the REVO 6 system, but I haven't tested it.  The .STEP files are also posted, knock yourself out modifying this abomination to your heart's content.

Where are the fan ducts?

I have decided that I am too lazy to model fan ducts for this, but I found a great one by @show_the_work_64607. Here's the link, this ought to work well.

Does it even work?

Frankly, I have NO idea. I haven't even attached it to a stepper motor yet. It probably works fine, but as a certain Robert J. Oppenheimer once said, “Theory will take you only so far.” If someone wants to risk putting this thing on your printer, knock yourself out.

What should I print this with?

You might be able to get away with printing the extruder body with PLA, but PETG is probably better because of its superior heat resistance. ASA or ABS would be the best to print this in, but not everybody has those filaments. The main body needs supports, but the top part doesn't. The parts are already oriented for ideal printing.
