There are a lot of parts for this puzzle, and a lot of colors required. It's not hard to make though, please read through all these instructions before getting started, there's a few things you need to do right for this to work. Also, please watch the YouTube video of this where I showcase the puzzle and walk through the build process.

Materials

  • Filament red, orange, white, yellow, green, blue, black, and then whatever 3 colors you want to use for the coup bowl. For that I use cream, dark yellow, and silver
  • Filament material doesn't matter. I used PLA though
  • A 51mm 2x2. Any would work, I used this one
  • A bunch of CA glue
  • A tiny bit of epoxy
  • 0.25mm nozzle in addition to the standard 0.4mm nozzle

Slicing instructions

  • The files are separated into folders, where each folder is has the nozzle size and the color required for all the parts within the folder. Most of the parts can be printed with a 0.4mm nozzle, but some of the smaller parts require a 0.25mm nozzle. The file names are weird, you can mostly ignore them and reference the folders instead. If you're interested though, all the files that start with B or T - the B stands for BIG, which means 0.4 nozzle - the T stands for TINY, which means 0.25 nozzle. Then the character after the B or T if the first character of the color required. So BO mean use an 0.4 nozzle, and print it in Orange. Since black and blue both start with B, Blue = B and Black = Bl. Kinda a dumb naming scheme but it made sense to me when I first made this, and it would take more time for me to rename everything into something more intuitive than it's taking to type out this description.
  • The Base files are all black, and you can use 0.4mm nozzle for them
  • The soup bowl files you'll have to pick whatever colors you see fit for

Post-processing instructions

  • This is kinda a puzzle to assemble, you needa figure out which pieces need to be glued where. There's no symmetry to this. There are no duplicate parts, so every part only has one place it needs to fit. One of the parts has a little crevasse for the bowl to glue into. You can use that part to orient yourself. Yea, just super glue everything in place. Then you can glue the parts to the base 2x2 once they're all ready. Check out my video for this part, it's pretty well illustrated there
  • There isn't much to hold the bowl in. It should still super glue in to place, but I recommend putting a dab of epoxy on the connection just for extra strength
