MK4 Quick Disconnect - Deans connectors

Carefully epoxy the deans connectors into the block and plug. Use a longer cure epoxy as it can be difficult to get the connectors in. 

It is very important to do a dry fit and check how it fits together as the deans connectors are not symetrical

Carefully disconnect the power wire harness cut and resolder to the deans connectors after glue up.

I recommend soldering not in the order as my picture but use the middle two deans connecters for positive and negative. Soldering the plug can be quiet difficult so having the larger wires in the centre would make this job much easier.

I glued the connectors into the block and plug with araldite, it seems to work well i also used a generous amount of hot glue in the plug as strain relief and backup insulation

The rear PSU cover has a hole in it to allow wire to power enclosure lights ect. Plug hole in slicer if necessary.

The old penetration for the printer power cover also has a hole for a DC barrel jack to power your enclosure lights.

  • This has a 7.5mm hole in it for a DC barrel jack.

  • Reduced size marginally to allow PSU removal while everything is still together.
  • Increased bore diameter for easier removal from PSU.
  • Hole included for external PSU for enclosure lights.
