This is a two-part mount. The bracket that friction fits the speaker and friction fits/screws into a hole and the cover plate that snaps into it to hide the screw holes.
A template to cut the hole is also included. The inside of the template is where the hole must go up to. The more precise the hole is, the better.
The bracket is intentionally a little too tight for the speaker. To the point where it may damage the fabric if you try to insert it as is. Its intended to be sanded down. Up to the point where the layer lines disappear is probably the sweetspot. It still needs to be tight enough for the speaker to not vibrate out of the bracket. I though of doing it this way to avoid the layer lines imprinting themselves into the fabric. Don't know if it could happen but also don't want to find out.
The upper part of the mount also has screw holes. Those are intended to be used to hold the speaker down by screwing a string or metal wire into them. You will probably not need them - I didn't. But I though I'd add just in case.
