My wife didn't like the spool/bobbin holders available commercially, so I made her this super simple pin to do the job instead. Doesn't go all the way through the spool, so it still sits flat for the spool holder I designed.
I printed this at 0.3 layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle. Wall thickness was 0.8mm and top/bottom was set to 3 layers and 10% infill.
Spiked and non-spiked version. Easier to push through fresh stickers on new spools with the spike, but less likely to have a bobbin already wound with that thread and all.
