First of all, props to Lista optimized part trays von Marcel van der Boom which helped to inspire this Remix!

The original model is a great solution for implementing a copy of the original trays sold for the Lista cabinets. I was missing some customization options, however. Therefore I designed a variation closely inspired by Marcel's model.

Remix Changes

  • Removed Label Holders
  • Parametrised Design

An important optimization for me was the parameterisation of the size and especially the wall thickness. The original model by Marcel uses a 2mm wall thickness, which results in a somewhat heavy-duty version of these trays, to save material however -and print time- I wanted to experiment with thinner walls.

For Printing these boxes I use a 0.6mm nozzle this allows to print wall thicknesses of up to 1.8mm in two passes for heavier variations and down to 1.2mm for lighter versions of the boxes.
And to make it viable at all and keep the boxes cheaper than the offerings by Lista I generally use fillaments I can get in sales. This way I manage to print the boxes at approximately half the price of the originals by Lista.

Parameterisation

The idea behind it is to fill the drawers of the popular and high-quality Lista cabinets as effectively as possible by using a factor that can be multiplied to keep a grid that fills the drawers perfectly. For Lista cabinets, this factor is 75mm per Unit. In case you have a different-sized cabinet than the Lista ones it might require a different factor for the grid. This can be achieved by changing the Lista Factor Values to your required factor.

For Designing it I used Fusion 360 and a parameterised approach. Feel free to experiment and customise the parameters yourself to find the right sizes for your applications. In case you don't have Fusion 360, feel free to reach out with a comment and I will add an according to STL file in the future.

The naming convention for STL's is (length units) x (width units) x (depth units) x (wall thickness)
