I think it is important to support the bed wiring. On my CR5 the wiring was only supported by the Kapton tape securing the wires to the bottom of the bed and over time the strain was pulling the tape away from the bottom of the bed. This left the strain relief for the bed wires directly on the solder joints. That had to be improved. This design is loosely based on the Bed Clamp by “3D_skrivar_skoj”. I liked the clip portion of that design which secures the wiring bracket to the bed frame with a screw that pinches the bracket to the frame. However, my design has several improvements:

  1. The heat bed wiring is kept in-line with the bottom of the bed. Otherwise the wiring path to the bed is distorted.
  2. The wiring harness is secured to the cable holder with zip ties. Using the old design with ABS makes it difficult to open the bracket enough to get it around the bed wires and wire loom.
  3. The screw goes through the cable holder into the bracket. Otherwise as the bed moves around there is strain on the plastic wire clip. I doubt it would break but I think it is better to concentrate the strain around the center of the bracket and the screw.

This requires one 20mm M3 screw, a M3 lock washer, a M3 nut and two zip ties.

I printed this in ABS since my case temperature can exceed 40C but PLA is probably fine. 40% infill and no supports.
