This is a case for a 5V 10A power supply, I made for a project of mine. It has a built in power switch and an AC connector so it can be unplugged from power when needed.
Before you print the part make sure it fits your power supply! STEP file is provided for adjusting the size of the model.
To make this you'll need a few things:
- 2x M3x4 screws (Mounting the supply to the box, these can't be longer than 5mm)
- 2x M3x8 screws (To mount the AC connector, length is just a recommendation here)
- 6x M3x16 screws (For the cable clamp and the lid, for the lid it needs to be more the 12mm in length)
- 10x M3 brass heat inserts
- 1x AC female plug (IEC C14 plug)
- 1x power switch (approx. 15mm x 20mm on the outside, has to be rated for mains voltage)
- Wire for connections internally
- Wire for the 5V output (The hole for the output wire has a diameter of 7mm, you can modify the STEP file if a bigger hole is required.)
Assembly is pretty straight forward. Insert the brass inserts to the holes, mount the power supply and wire it up. Use the included wire clamp to secure the outgoing wire against pulling it out. Use the reference pictures if needed.
