Water released from the gutter resulted in moss and algae growth in wet winter months. We wanted to capture the water directly into and underground pipe, not using a gulley. To blend in with the paving, I designed covers following the shape of the opening in the paving.
It is unlikely that these design files will work as is for you. The designs are done in cadquery and can therefore be adapted for your situation.
The round pipe was printed as a single part, requiring too much support - really painful to remove. When I printed the rectangular pipe, I wanted to avoid the support and decided to cut the part into two, using the Prucaslicer dovetail for strength (much better than the small pins).
The round pipe could slide into position without much trouble. The rectangular would not slide into place. This is where the dovetail joint really showed value: I fitted the two parts separately and then slid the dovetail into place. Message here is that joining parts could help in awkward installations.
Printed in PETG and painted with universal undercoat and three coats outdoor PVA to improve outdoors lifetime.
