Simple closable hideout for a young snake.
Can be opened by spreading the holds from the sides. It is better to hold also the bottom to avoid sudden movements, if the snake still remains inside. But I strongly suggest to do it without the snake inside to avoid causing unnecessary stress to the snake.
Suitable for young snakes, used for Ball Python (3months, 100g, 50cm). She enjoys it very much!! :-)
Can be filled with moised material, like sphagnum moss, to increase humidity to help the snake slough its skin.
Printed with PLA or PETG, 0.2mm setting, the closings mechanism works well, but a bit better with PLA material.
Bottom can be printed without supports, but for the opening I advice to use some support to increase the smoothness (can be piled/sanded afterwards though). Lower upper part requires no supports, the higher one is a bit harder to be printed with smooth surface without the supports. Again some sanding or piling was found to be necessary to prevent from hurting the snake.
