This is a spool holder that mounts to the back metal plate of a Makerbot Mini, to hold much larger spools. Only three parts are needed, and they can all be printed on a Mini, and snap together for a clean look. There were other great designs, but with too many parts, and I wanted everything to snap in place.

Post-Printing
Even though the arm and hook should fit tightly together, they require glue. If they are snug, you can use CA (super glue). If they aren't, you should use 5-min epoxy so the gaps are filled. The arm should be strong enough that it doesn't break with moderate force (e.g. weight of a spool).

How I Designed This ===================Designed in OpenSCAD. You can change the parameters in the OpenSCAD file to size for smaller/larger spools of material.
