Since the best method of scanning tiny objects, is the marker mode, there was a need for me to have a platform that can carry marker points for all points of view.
Also, it has to stay on the table when I tilt it.
The table itself can be mounted on the revopoint 3 axis turntables and with a bit of tinkering sure on other turntables.
Details:
Mostly, you lose the points-tracking on a flat platform, when you scan an object from side view. So I made a pyramid shaped table which has also space for points in side view.
Post print:
To have also this dalmatian look like on the pics, you had to spray it with matte black and put the points with a white paint pen on it. Alternatively, you can waste some expensive marker points on it.
Anyway the handmade points work fine on structured light scanners like the mini2, in some cases you had to tune the exposure, so the scanner recognizes more of them.
