This hardware was designed around the Scaniverse iPhone application. The object to be scanned has to be static and the phone needs to rotate around the object. So the tabe part remains stationary and the phone revolves around the table. The application needs to register phone movement to scan.
The phone mount is connected to the rotation mechanism and moves around the object using the motorised mechanism.
The hardware required are as follow:
- 3V battery, 2 x 1.5v cells will do the job.
- 3V motor 15x20x25mm
- 608 bearing (roller skate bearing) 22x8mm 7mm thick.
- M5 Screw 50mm
- M5 Nut
- a few self tapping screws 3mm x 10mm
For speed control I use one of these DC motor drives available on Amazon.
