Filament: Eryone PLA White
Notes:
Orient the camera mount with the flat back to the print bed.
Doesn't need supports, but you can print with supports if wanted for piece of mind. I've printed it with and without with no real noticeable difference. My cooling fan didn't even kick on (Prusa auto cooling)
Infill is irrelevant as the walls are so thin most slicers will just do solid infill anyway.
The "camera mount cut template" prints fine with no supports. It doesn't have to be pretty. orient it as if the leading edge were pointing towards the print bed.
To use the template, slide it on the nose and center it using the center glue seam as a reference. Push it all the way on so the shape of the airfoil leading edge fills the shape of the template. Next, use a long bladed razor knife...like the clicky ones where you snap the end of the blade off to get a fresh point...and slice down the outside edges of the template, then across the back. Take your time when cutting across the glue joint as the knife won't glide through it like it does the foam.
Once you've made the cut, pull the template off and the foam plug out. Your camera mount should now fit in the recess just right and snug as a bug.
I recommend setting your spec wing up in it's cores to provide a level wing, the powering up the camera and looking trough your goggles/monitor to align the image so it is level, then glue the mount into the wing and make final adjustments to level before the glue sets. If you use hot glue, you'll have a couple seconds to make adjustments. If you use cyanoacrylate, use thick (gap filling) so you have time to make any adjustments then either let it cure on it's own or give it a quick shot of accelerator to cure it. Any other adhesives will cure at their own rate, but periodically check to make sure everything stays level.
