Since Virpil apparently does not make the detent plate in the CP2 to the same standard as their joystick cams, but apparently lasercuts it without finishing the surface, the original plate is relatively rough and does not quite give quite the quality feeling I expected.
So i just remade it in my 3D-printer, giving a much smoother surface for the ball bearing to run on. 1 to 1 replacement for the original, same detent feeling.
Print instructions:
- use >= 3 perimeters (the more the better)
- 100 % infill
- make sure your seams are aligned and NOT on the parts the ball bearing runs on
- preferably use a hard, impact resistant material (I made it in PC)
Use instructions:
- Do not lubricate (or know what grease to use for cam paths), same as all other cam mechanisms. Wrong lubricant is much worse than no lubricant.
