With this tank riser you can close the gap between the water tank and the machine body, so that it will improve preventing dust and small particles falling in the tank. Please note that it also functions as a mini drip tray for small amount of water/coffee. This lifts the drip tray also 6mm up, so be aware of this. Having a low drip tray is ideal with this.
