3d printed boa ratchet, I printed it with PLA and tested its weight capacity and it was able to handle 45LB. I use 1/16" welding wire to reinforce where the .8 dynema (uhmwpe) rubs over the edge, it has a ratcheting feature with the pull the cap to release with more welding wire to add detents to keep the cap down. The cap is held on by M3x10 screw with a heat insert. the paws are glued in separate to maximize the strength of the part. it is optimized for .4 mm nozzle and requires .2 or .1 layer height do not use .25.
I use this to synch down my hiking backpack cause it allows me to get it tighter than with the straps and is super easy to release. With .8 dynema I am able to get over 40 inches of cord in to the ratchet.
