Eibos filament dehydrator deflector upgrade, design and adapter preventing the new 3D filaments to be melted at the bottom of the spool.
The thermostat will be controlling the internal temperature set as its design was intended and does not need any other modifications or variations.
The heat shield and the fan will deflect the heat evenly inside the chamber creating uniform hot air flow without any heating element restriction or any hazard safety concern.
The Eibos has already a standoff with a 4 mm hole and with the stainless steel M4x20, washers and nut will support the heat deflector in position with not spool part contact.
The minimum heat shield at McMaster-Carr is 4" x 8", a cut can be made with a kitchen scissor (normally used to cut chicken bones) at one end then folded and clamped using its own foil as well the secondary cut at the center using the same method, superglue can be used as a final bonded the edges. Please refer to the pictures they are very easily notable.
This heat deflector was tested with different temperatures and 3D size filaments with satisfactory results.
