I wanted to mount the Multiple Mechanism Auto-Rewind Spool Holder on an Ikea Skadis pegboard I already had mounted behind my 3d printer so I came up with these brackets.
The brackets snap-in the holes on the bottom of the spool holder and, due to the tapered shape of the spool holder, you can then mount them on the pegboard. The snaps on the brackets feature a tapered hole for a screw so you can ensure the two halves of the snap stay separated to lock things in place. I have not required them thus far.
I honestly have no idea the weight capacity of the pegboard but it seems to hold 3 of my spools (and some beer making supplies) without issue.
NOTE if you happen to have large diameter spools this may not work for you as I intentionally mounted the spool holder as close to the pegboard as I figured I could get away with to keep weight/leverage down.
Second Note You will have to print two of the same bracket, but you will need to mirror one. I printed them laying down with supports for the snaps (I have included a photo where I obviously already moved the parts from the print bed then set them back down for a photo to give context)
Third Note I have included a file for the bracket with a cut-out for the screws that hold the pegboard to its mounting bracket, you may or may not need this depending on where/how you mount your setup.
Wall Support I printed this and stuck it behind the pegboard and wall just to keep the pegboard from sagging due to the weight of the spools. I have no idea if this is actually necessary or not but it seemed like a good idea at the time.
