Fixture for Dremel Model 315 (2002)

When working on difficile parts with a Dremel grinder it is good idea to guide the part by hand rather than the machine.

Although the Dremel is model 315 from 2002 it deserves an appropriate fixture. Designed this fixture with TinkerCad.

Printed on my Prusa MK4 with Geeetech PLA (grey) with IS-structural settings: 

4 perimeters, 4 top and 4 bottom layers. Used organic supports where necessary, those came off easily. Clamps printed lying on their sides for stability reasons. 

Only rework I had was to clean the surfaces of the hinges (cutter and file), Center hinges ("upper clamps") received an introducing M3 thread from both sides, not too far → for self locking. With that said I only needed a M3 buttonhead screw and no nuts. Clamps fastened by selftapping screws (T10), directly screwed in. Hinges are locked by two rubber O-rings: ID18mm, t Ø3.5mm. 

Logoplate printed on my Prusa MK3S+ with MMU2s Black = Prusament Galaxy Black PLA on textrued Prusa build plate. Glued into the recessed area of the main structure part by Uhu. Adhesive Foam strips for the bottom part and for the clamps, for smoother fit.

If the print is nice without stringing or any other blops or impuritiesthen it should be assembled withing 3 minuted from taking off of the build plate.

NOTE: This is for DREMEL “Model 315” which is a quite old model. DREMEL “Model 3000” does not fit in this fixture. Therefore, I designed a second model with some commonly used st-files. To find here: https://www.printables.com/de/model/846850-fixture-for-dremel-model-3000

PS: The three holes in the fixure base unit are foreseen for 1-2 screw clamps. 
Feel free to also design some drawers for bits and pieces of the Dremel. But those usually come with larger boxes or blisters.
