Customizing
- Open OuterPart.FCStd in FreeCAD
- Delete mesh “Body (Meshed)”
- Select “Body / Pad001 / ShapeString” in Model Explorer
- Adapt “FontFile”, “String”, “Size” and “Tracking”
- If needed change “x” and “y” position in “Placement / Position”
- Open “Mesh Design” workspace
- Select “Body”
- Select menu “Mesh / Generate Mesh from Body”
- Select Netgen and very accurate
- Export generated mesh
Printing
Due to the higher temperature stability I have used PETG instead of PLA.
Don't forget to add the filament change at the first layer of the text. Activate “ironing” for all surfaces.
Finishing
Use a scalpel to remove threads between the letters. You need to add glue between the parts to fix it at your letterbox.
