Just a relatively generic fortress model made referencing a number of structures but not intended as a likeness to any real or fictional structure. Without the base its 124mm tall, with the base its 142mm. It shouldn't take more than two days to print on I3 style machines.
There are three versions, one includes the base and the fortress in one part, one with just the fortress, and one with the base cut into multiple parts. There is also a version that adds mouse ears to prevent warping.
Recommended Print Settings:
- PLA
- .10mm Layer height
- 15% Grid pattern infill
- Supports not needed on any part
I would recommend against scaling it down as you will destroy some of the details. However, scaling it up should be fine.
Multi Part Version:
You will need to print one each of the parts in the archive named “base.zip” as well as either “Fortress.stl” or “Fortress_with_mouse_ears.stl”.
To assembly the base first make sure the parts are going to fit. Then apply glue to the mating surfaces and slide the parts together. Once the base is assembled you can glue the fortress atop it. If you intend to display it on a flat surface you may not need to assemble it with glue, you just risk parts falling out/off when picking it up.
The clearances between the parts work well for me. However, If you have trouble getting them to fit just ask and I will make another set of parts with more clearance.
