Water softener drains into the same sewer standpipe as my washing machine. Air gap is required for the softener. This design keeps the water softener discharge from hitting the washing machine discharge hose and splashing all over the floor.
Hose connection fits a 1" OD hose, others sizes may also work. Clamp the hose to the nozzle and then insert the fitting onto the main body. Give it a twist to lock in place. Can glue it if you want, but I haven't needed it.
Drain Opening: 2"
Hose connector: ¾ - 1" OD. Secure hose using a hose clamp.
Minimal supports needed for the hose connector only. Print in PETG.
