I've created an IXXI-like system to mount the square photos of the Canon Selphy Square QX10 on our wall. We only put wall connectors on the top row and keep expanding downwards. As you can see on the photo its also possible to go outside the top row without any problem.

Files

  • Photo Frame
The photo is fitted in the base, after that you can slide the back part in to secure the photo. The wall connector is fitted at the back of the frame. I've used a tighter tolerance so the wall connector can hold the system.

  • Connectors
I've created all possible connectors, to fit 2 frames, 3 frames and 4 frames, so you can make any shape you want. You can to far with the shape and go outside the wall mounted row, but it can be necessary to secure another row to the wall.

    Print with 100% Infill

When switching to the MK4 I've mentioned printing the connectors in 3.8mm are a bit too loose, so i've print them in 3.9mm which will fit better. Because of this I've uploaded them both. Please test and see whats fits best when printed on you own printer,

  • Helper
To make it easier to find the perfect spot for the next (horizontal) frame, I've created a helper tool. When your first frame is hanging on the wall just fit the helper tool around it and you fit the wall mount exactly between the guides.

Printing:

  • Printed in 0.15mm layer height, didn't test 0.07mm, 0.10mm or 0.20mm my self, please report back your results if you do!
  • Printed in PLA, but i'm sure it can be also PETG or any other material.
  • Can be printed without supports (overhang is below 45 degrees)
  • When your bed adhesion is good you can print the connectors without a brim, you can add one to be sure without any problems or post-processing because the connectors are behind the frames.
