I had an old Dremel press that I was not using, so I made a busing to hold a inexpensive princess auto soldering iron in place.
The Dremel small clamp wedges the rubber handle, the larger clamp is what really holds the iron in place and where the spacer goes. The spacer is slightly tapered on the inside (ID-ID=0.050"
It will need a dimmer or use my Variac to reduce the temperature, but cheap and all in my shop.
If you need more reach, I believe the back tube in conduit, so that should be cheap and easy to get.
I have the insert adapter for the heated tip on order.
