I bought a Global M704 microscope which came without eyepiece cups. For this microscope your eyes need to be a pretty specific distance from the eyepiece otherwise it's basically unusable. This model is intended to replicate the M1039A 1 1/8" “high” silicone eyepiece cup intended for users who don't wear eyeglasses. I've printed it in PLA and it works ok, but a soft TPU would probably be better for regular use.
My first version was a very tight fit, this version is slightly larger and when printed in PLA should snap on and off fairly easily. It will ‘spin’ when fitted, you may want to run some tape around the join to hold it still.
My test example photo uses yellow PLA. I made a revised version in black and can confirm it's far more useable :D
